Bra Builder’s Finishing Kits: A Closer Look

Bra Builder’s is one of the great bra material shops in the US. One of my favorite things to get from there is the bra finishing kit. It gives you everything you need to finish most bra patterns except for the fabric and back band materials. It makes it really easy to customize your bras with materials from different places and with fun combos. The best part is that they dye the kits to match and it makes it possible to get a lot of really difficult colors. In their blog are the current colors that are seasonal. Those are cheaper and then legacy/special colors cost extra, but I think it’s definitely worth it. The YouTube gives you an up close look at the kits in both current and legacy colors.

One kit contains:

• 1 1/4 yards of 5/8" Band Elastic

• 1 1/2 yards of 3/8" Band Elastic

• 1 yard of plush channeling

• Hooks and eye unit

• 18" of Twill Tape

• Strap elastic

  • 6" Strap elastic extender for self straps or

  • 1 1/2 yards of strap elastic plus rings and slides for elastic straps (costs extra)
