Jason Wu Bargainista Fashionista Contest Entry

McCall's 7349 in Marketa Stengl Strawberry Blueberry print knit. This is a princess seamed dress without a waist seam. I like the fit a lot and it makes a good casual knit dress. This print is a very light knit which makes it great for summer plus the berries are a very summery themed fabric.

Mermaid Bra featuring new release The Blossom Bra by Daydream Patterns. I was a pattern tester for this bra and this is my second bra with many size alterations. I made the cups smaller and more rounded and I took some length out of the top cup. It is a looser fitting band which makes it very comfortable. It has a lot of options for design because you can pair lace and regular fabrics in many combinations.

ThreadCrate May 2021 Men's Make: The Ellie and Mac Straight Fit Raglan Tee. This fabric ended up washing to be quite soft. I like the shirt and how it came out. I think the raglan draft is a little high up and I would personally prefer it to go down into the chest a little bit more. The fit is good although on my partner the sleeves are tight while the body is looser fitting. I wouldn’t want to make the short sleeve version as I think it looks a little strange in the product photos as if it flares out.

Leather Moleskine Cahier Journal Cover in Badalassi Carlo Pueblo leather from Rocky Mountain Leather. I had yet to make myself anything nice with my leatherworking. I decided I wanted a really beautiful journal cover and I loved this leather I had gotten for this project. I drafted the pattern and will have a tutorial for making one yourself. I got the cahier notebooks from Barnes and Noble which make a perfect refillable blank for the cover.
